I started designing back in 2010 and I didn’t intend to even start it just sort of happened. I was a typical teenager not knowing where life was heading. I've always loved design, ever since I can remember I've always been drawing or sketching but never really took it any further. I got myself a copy of Photoshop and slowly made my way into designing websites and apps and didn't look back. I had no official qualifications when starting out so I learnt the hard way, hours and hours of tutorials and trial and error. I feel that teaching myself is one of the best things I could have done as it gave me a passion and hunger for pixel perfect design that is still with me today.
I usually like to start with as much research as possible about the subject and the client. After I have all of the research I look at inspiration to get a feel for what my client is looking for. From there I move onto the development of ideas and the beginning stages of wireframes. Wireframing and planning are in my eyes the most important part of any project as you can save a lot of time later on by planning out everything correctly. The most important thing is the user experience, you can have the prettiest design in the world but if its not functional or bad experience then it will never work. The final stage after feedback from my client is to move onto choosing the correct direction and get down to designing.
